The High Road Gallery of Worthington
with the cooperation of the Lens and Leaves Camera Club
proudly announces
a photographic competition
“A Place in Time: The Darby Creek Watershed”
to benefit The Nature Conservancy of Ohio’s
Darby Watershed Program
The Big and Little Darby Creeks just west of Columbus are one of the top warm freshwater systems in the U.S., and have been designated State and National Scenic Rivers. The Darbys are home to 103 recorded fish species and 43 species of freshwater mussels, many of which are endangered or threatened. In 1991, The Nature Conservancy declared the Darby watershed one of its “Last Great Places”a landscape so rare and beautiful, so threatened by human pressures, that we are marshalling our greatest resources to protect it.
Preserve the essence of central Ohio’s Darby Creek watershed forever…on camera!
