Moon Evans

Moon Evans was born in Shanghai, China, grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to the US in 2004. Although she has been wanting to paint her entire life, there were so many obstacles that made her take a detour.

She decided to be an artist when she was four years old. But because she couldn't get support from her family to pursue an art major, she taught herself and also learned from Mark Gingerich, a landscape impressionist painter, in his studio.

After graduating from the Ohio State University with a Master Degree in public affairs, she started to focus on advancing her oil painting skills. In 2023, her oil paintings were presented in Sharon Weiss Gallery in Short North Columbus, OH. And in 2024, she became a resident artist at the High Road Gallery in Worthington, OH.

The old & living masters who influenced her artistic style are Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Turner, Adrian Gottlieb, and David Leffel. Her life goal is to have her paintings in a museum someday.
